Heart of This Space

Together — that is what we are doing here.
Note: These reflections are based on personal experience and faith. They are not professional counseling or medical advice.
The Story Behind This Space
This space started in my private journal. I didn’t plan on sharing any of it—I was just trying to survive my own thoughts, my pain, my questions, and my everyday life with God. Putting it on paper felt like giving it away — and now I know that was to God. I didn’t have words for what was unfolding. I just had this eager feeling like whatever this is — the world needs to hear it! I didn’t know how yet. I just knew something was moving.
I started journaling because I felt a lot but didn’t always understand it, and I didn’t feel like I had a safe place to pour it all out. Writing became the place where I could say everything I was afraid to say out loud—to myself, to others, and sometimes even to God. Something started happening in that space. As I wrote, I began to notice how often God would meet me in small things: a word, a song, a verse, a tiny nudge I kept ignoring. Journaling helped me see patterns of His love and His conviction in my everyday life.
I was at the beginning stages of figuring out my life. I was asking:
How can I make it better?
How can I bring joy into my life?
What is my purpose for being here on earth?
What will make me truly happy?
How do I accomplish my wants and needs?
Surface answers weren’t enough. I had to go deeper, beyond the surface, to find meaning. So, one day, on a quest for answers, I stumbled across a plaque. There were many there, but one in particular kept pulling me back.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for peace and not evil, to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Jeremiah 29:11 became my anchor, guiding me toward living in alignment with God’s purpose and revealing answers to the questions I carried in my heart. As I continued journaling, I uncovered bad patterns and false beliefs that had been holding me back—bondages that kept me from what I wanted and knew I deserved. This deep reflection sparked the work of inner transformation, shaping a path toward clarity, hope, and faith in action.
Then, one day, I shared a reflection with my dad over the phone. As he listened, his voice caught, and I could hear how deeply he was moved—the words had come alive for him, carrying the weight of my heart and the depth of my journey. After feeling that connection, I mentioned that maybe one day I could turn my journal into a book in the hopes of helping others. Hearing that, he said I shouldn’t wait—my reflections could reach others right now. He suggested starting a space instead, and in that moment, the journey of sharing my private reflections became a space for connection, hope, encouragement, and growth. That’s how this space was born.
The Inner Work and the Outer Fruit
I am happy now, and life is much easier. My inner truth is more aligned with my actions. That doesn’t mean everything is perfect or that hard situations never happen. It means I’m in a different mindset. I see things differently. I respond differently. I choose differently.
Decoding Life is the inner work shaping now. What is yet to come is the outward reflection — the visible results — of the best version of me that God and I are building together. While the outer fruit is still forming, the inner roots have already taken hold.
You might see tears, questions, joy, numbness, and hope all in the same reflection. That’s real life for me.
Scripture on My Heart
The Bible verse that connects to that moment and what it’s teaching me.
Internal Alignment
What I’m noticing about my heart, my patterns, and how God is guiding me into deeper truth.
Raw Experience
What actually happened, how I felt, the messy honest version. No polishing over the hard parts.
What You’ll Find Here
My reflections come from my personal journal. When I polish one to share, the intention is simple — to create a space to pause, reflect, and if what you read mirrors something in your own life, to just sit with it for a while.
My reflections are real journal moments shaped just enough so you can follow them, but still raw enough that you’re hearing my true voice. Most include:
This space is
The inner work behind the scenes of healing, growth, and faith
A glimpse into a real, unpolished walk with God
A space for honesty, faith, growth, and self-discovery
A space where I learn to love God and love myself
This space isn’t
A place that pretends to have it all together
A theological textbook
A collection of perfect Christian answers
A call for you to change anything on my timeline
This space is
This space isn’t

About My Sign-Off
My journal is sacred to me. It is where I poured my heart out — asking questions, searching for answers, not always knowing that God had already met me there before my mind even caught up. When I began preparing Decoding Life, I noticed the computer kept defaulting to settings that did not match what I had written in my private journal. That friction made me stop and ask — why did I write it the way I did? What I discovered humbled me.
The em dashes around His name are intentional. They act as a container — filtering out the noise of everything I just poured out — setting Him apart. Centered, because He is my anchor. The center of everything. After pouring my heart out in a reflection, this is my breath. My release. My grounding.
I Love you, Lord!
I Love me!
Left aligned. Like a personal letter — not a business document. Because that is what this is. A letter. To God and to myself.
Both I’s perfectly aligned beneath one another. I did not plan that. I now understand it as a signal — I am aligned with God’s love and His word. Standing not above, not below. But beside Him.
Love is capitalized in both lines. Not by accident. The capital L in I Love you, Lord carries His unconditional, eternal, divine love. The capital L in I Love me carries that same quality of love — not with ego, not with pride, but with the quiet recognition that I am His creation and I am worthy of the same high level of Love I offer Him.
Lord and Jesus are capitalized. me is not. He is Mighty. I am small. I humble myself before Him.
With Love,
An Invitation
If you’re reading this and you’ve ever wrestled with feeling unworthy — unworthy of love, of joy, of God’s attention in your everyday mess — you’re not the only one. I’m still learning, still growing, and still being guided — often in the same breath.
The purpose of this space is not to tell you what to do or push you to change. My hope is that what you read here encourages you to pause, reflect, and reset where needed in your own life. You’re welcome to walk this journey with me, one reflection at a time.
